Pg. 412 “Also at this Meeting it was agreed to accept of M<sup>r</sup>. W<sup>m</sup> Mayor of Brandon Parow the Sum of £40 to indemnify John Rice of the said Parish from all Expenses which might otherwise arise to him on Account of the nat[ura]<sup>l</sup>. Child or Children on which Charlotte Herring of the said Parish is now pregnant with. Which Sum the said W<sup>m</sup> Mayor this day paid into the Hands of the Clerk Corporation.

Ordered that John Websdale a poor boy of the Age of 12 yrs be forthwith bound Apprentice for 3 years from this time to Mr Ja<sup>s</sup> Hartt of Hingham who has agreed to take him for that term on being allowed the Sum of £2..2..0 towards cloathing him.
